Restore our Ocean and Waters: a synergy info pack by CORDIS

CLAIM has been featured in the recently published by CORDIS information pack, that showcases 34 research projects funded through the complementary programmes of Horizon 2020.

The info pack is developed as part of the Mission Restore our Ocean and Waters by 2030, which is designed to deliver on the EU’s quantified and measurable targets for protecting and restoring ecosystems and biodiversity, for preventing and eliminating pollution, and for making the sustainable blue economy climate-neutral and circular, thus supporting the goals of the European Green Deal.

Restore our Ocean and Waters is part of the EU Missions, which are new broad mobilisation initiatives rooted in the Horizon Europe research and innovation programme.

Featuring projects that foster a digital ocean and water knowledge system that builds on existing European infrastructures and services, the Mission is striving to promote the development of the technical, social, governance innovation and business models needed to secure the restoration of aquatic ecosystems and the development of a sustainable, resilient and climate-neutral blue economy.

Along with 33 more excellent projects, aiming to prevent marine pollution through various novel methods and approaches, CLAIM is being featured in the publication with the project’s innovative technologies to clean marine plastics litter.
