CLAIM featured in a plastic pollution Info Day in Athens
Over 70 Greek representatives of international academic and research organisations came together at the Plastic Busters MPAs Info Day, held on 6 November in Athens. National and local authorities, management bodies of coastal and marine protected areas, as well as NGOs took part in the event, organized by two of the partners of the Plastic Busters MPAs project. These are the Hellenic Centre for Marine Research (HCMR) and the Mediterranean Environment, Culture and Sustainability Office (MIO-ECSDE).
The main objectives of the Info Day were to exchange ideas and raise awareness on the importance of the marine litter issue, as well as to inform about undertaken activities to tackle this it, initiating discussion among all participants. One of the highlights was the presentation of good practices against marine litter, implemented at regional, national and local levels.
